The specification will be expanded to include additional documentation, particular items and conditions for pricing, insurances, handling of variations and extras, a building contract, programming requirements, and information on how the project is to be managed.
The responsibilities of both yourself and the main contractor are explicitly detailed at this stage and this forms the basis for the contract, which will enable the smooth running of the construction programme.
